• “CorePower Yoga: Calorie Blast Yoga” ($13)

“Calorie Blast” is the second DVD in a three-part series being released through Gaiam to introduce the kind of sequences found in CorePower Yoga studios, the largest chain of yoga studios. “It’s not as rigid as Bikram, but there’s a very specialized skeleton we follow in every class,” Trevor Tice, founder of CorePower Yoga, says. One way your home practice will likely be different: temperature. It’s 80 degrees in CorePower Yoga studios.

• “Canyon Ranch: Yoga for Strength & Energy” ($15)

With “Canyon Ranch’s Yoga for Strength & Energy” DVD, instructor Evette Shuk’s intention was to inspire people to practice more, whether it’s at home or at Canyon Ranch. “We want them to feel not just good, but incredible,” she says. Canyon Ranch is opening a new SpaClub at The Homestead resort in Hot Springs, Va. this spring, which will feature outdoor yoga classes.
