The Washington Post has compiled a list of entertainment opportunities now available:

“Doctor Sleep,” by Stephen King

Stephen King fans, rejoice. Critics are heaping praise on the highly anticipated sequel to King’s 1977 novel “The Shining.” Now the focus is on Jack Torrance’s grown son, Dan, who is struggling with alcoholism and his extrasensory abilities. Writing in The Washington Post, critic Keith Donohue says King has written a “virtuoso tale that outshines ‘The Shining.’ . . . His characters, particularly the baddies, are drawn with an economy that brings them briskly to life. Like some twisted bastard son of the Houses of Lovecraft and Dickens, he is as macabre and entertaining as ever.”
